Consensus Conference 2022

This week — from 9 to 12 June — Austin, Texas, will host one of the largest and most significant events of this year in the blockchain industry. The Consensus 2022 blockchain conference will bring together the most influential developers, creators, investors, policymakers, executives, academics, regulators, and entrepreneurs from around the world.

Being a blockchain enthusiast, founder of a blockchain development company INC4, and several startups (Minerall, Pembrock), I am happy to be at this event and recommend it not just to blockchain builders, but also those that have an interest in the developing Web 3 landscape.

What is the conference about?

The Consensus CoinDesk conference, created and curated by one of the most influential publications in the crypto media world, has been held since 2015 and is one of the big events that highlights all aspects of the blockchain and its development prospects.

This crypto expo attracts thousands of visitors, investors, entrepreneurs, government representatives, and other market participants. Thousands of people from all over the world participate in discussions and debates, and listen to inspiring dialogues that help us gain a new perspective on the future of the blockchain community.

Here’s a preview of topics that will be covered at the Consensus Austin conference this year:

  • Finance
  • Investing
  • NFTs
  • DeFi
  • Regulation
  • Web 3
  • Metaverse
  • DAOs

Why is it important to attend?

Such crypto conferences are a great way to learn about the latest trends and technologies while hearing analysis from some of the greatest minds in the sector. Consensus 2022 is one of the few expos that will showcase all aspects of blockchain, cryptography, Web 3, and the Metaverse.

During these four days, conference organizers have pulled together a huge amount of useful content:

Metaverse Zone — 6,000 square foot space in the heart of the Austin Convention Center, the Metaverse Zone will focus on content and conversations about the emergence of virtual worlds and economies.

AO House — will feature space to network and learn about the emerging world of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), featuring sessions with some of the most dynamic communities and builders — presented by Binance.

Sport Court — represents large multi-year deals with teams, leagues, and stadiums, bringing them to new platforms for collectibles. Some of the most noted athletes and brands in the world are betting big on crypto.

NFT Gallery — Consensus will bring the massively creative world of non-fungible tokens to life via a physical/digital location. It will showcase not only the creative artists in the space but will educate those looking to get more involved in the dev, culture, and marketing side of NFTs.

Talent Hub — for everyone who is looking for a job in crypto/Web 3 or searching for the perfect candidate for a crypto or blockchain development role.

So if you want to be up on the latest trends related to blockchain, NFT, Metaverse, and crypto development, you should definitely attend Consensus 2022.

Don’t miss NEAR Protocol speakers at Consensus 2022

As INC4 are a proud NEAR Guild, I wish to highlight the Consensus speakers who are directly related to developing, supporting, and expanding the cutting-edge NEAR protocol.

Illia Polosukhin — Co-Founder, NEAR Protocol

Illia Polosukhin

Illia Polosukhin is the co-founder of NEAR Protocol, with more than 10 years of industry experience, including 3 years at Google, where he was a major TensorFlow contributor and managed the team-building question-answering capabilities for the core Google search. Illia has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, TIME, Wired, New York Magazine, Forbes, and TechCrunch.

NEAR’s vision of a scalable, robust, and highly usable blockchain began in 2018 when he couldn’t find a protocol that met the needs of builders. NEAR Protocol launched its mainnet in 2020 and is focused on scaling for global mainstream adoption.

Marieke Flament — CEO, NEAR Foundation

Marieke Flament

Marieke is CEO of the NEAR Foundation. She is a computer engineer with strong experience. Before joining NEAR, Marieke pioneered turning niche blockchain products into globally recognized brands, scaling Circle, the issuer of the second-largest stablecoin — USDC, from zero to two million users in less than two years.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Marieke was recognized in the Women in FinTech Powerlist for 2017 and 2019, and she frequently features as part of The BBC, The Telegraph, Fortune, The Financial Times, Reuters, Forbes, and City AM.

Alex Shevchenko — CEO, Aurora Labs

Alex Shevchenko

Alex is a technical and product manager with 10+ years of experience in IT. He started his career in Bitfury as the Head of Exonum and achieved great results. Alex developed himself a concensus algorithm in Exonum and, at the same time, managed up to 40 people in his R&D team. The team under his supervision developed a best-in-class framework for private blockchains, launched the first blockchain land title solution in the world for the government in the Republic of Georgia, and won the E&Y blockchain challenge in London.

Now, Alex applies high professional skills as the CEO of Aurora Labs — an Ethereum Virtual Machine created by NEAR Protocol developers, delivering a turn-key solution for developers to operate their apps on NEAR.

Jacob Lindahl — Software Engineer, NEAR Foundation

Jacob Lindahl

Jacob works as a software engineer at NEAR Foundation, developing educational materials and ecosystem support tools for the protocol. He is a lifelong programmer with a passion for Web 3 education and security. He has personally mentored over 100 developers and produced over 100 computer science videos. Since 2017, Jacob has written smart contracts for many blockchains, including Ethereum, NEAR, and Algorand.

Join NEAR June Town Hall online

In addition to NEAR speakers, the monthly NEAR June Town Hall, dedicated to protocol updates, will be broadcast from the Consensus Coindesk’s cryptocurrency conference on June 12 at 5:00 pm GMT, where it will be highlighted some updates on the ecosystem and the NEAR Foundation’s progress in advancing Web3, as well as for special Consensus-related segments. There will also be updates on NEAR Protocol, ecosystem funding, education efforts, and new event information.

Meet with me at the Conference

If you’re attending the Consensus 2022 and engaged in DeFi sector development, I’d be glad to talk to you. I’m looking for experienced developers who are interested in participating in the first leveraged yield farming application on NEAR Protocol — PembRock Finance. I’m also looking for liquidity providers who wish to invest in our rapidly growing project.

Brief information on my projects:

Minerall.io — Ethereum mining pool that is roughly 15% more profitable for ETH mining than any market competitor.

PembRock Finance — Built on the NEAR blockchain, PembRock gives users the opportunity to maximize yield farming rewards by leveraging funds by up to 3x!

Let me know if you’re interested in meeting at the conference and discussing new opportunities.
